On April 18, in order to enrich the lives of teachers and faculties and create a harmonious and collective atmosphere, the College of Foreign Languages organized a tour for the staff to the ShanghaiSonghu Memorial Hall for the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Wusong Fort Wetland Park and the Shanghai Ceramic Science and Technology Art Museum.
In the Shanghai Ceramic Science and Technology Art Museum, we learned about the process of making ceramics by watching the film “72 Processes”. The widespread use of ceramics has driven a great change in science and technology and changed people’s life. We felt the vitality of porcelain, and further understood the development of modern civilization in ceramic technology and art.
In the ShanghaiSonghu Memorial Hall for the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Wusong Fort Wetland Park, we watched many precious videos, pictures, and other cultural relics displayed in the exhibition area, and reviewed the heroic deeds of Chinese soldiers and civilians who fought bravely in that war.
This activity has built a good platform for mutual communication. It can also be regarded as a vivid lesson on patriotism. We will remember the history and the martyrs as well as cherish today’s life.
