In the afternoon of March 23, the Party Committee of the university held a meeting to announce the adjustment of the leaders of the College of Foreign Languages in Room 502 of the Foreign Language Building. The meeting was hosted by Li Hongmei of the Organization Department of the Party Committee of the university, and attended by members of the Party leadership team, members of the Party Committee, directors of various majors and departments, and secretaries of faculty Party branches.
At the meeting, Li Hongmei announced the decision of the Party Committee of the College that Zhang Yan was appointed as the Dean of the School of Foreign Languages and introduced her basic information.
In the speech of Song Baoru, secretary of the Party Committee of the university, affirmed the achievements made by Zhu Yaobin during his presidency of the administrative work of the College in terms of his work, epidemic prevention and control, and student employment, and stressed that the development of the College should focus on the goals of the university, clarify the direction of schooling, and continuously enhance the characteristics of schooling.
Deputy Secretary Men Yanping pointed out that the development of the College has entered a new stage, and he hoped that the College team should raise its political status, strengthen political learning, and play a good role in the College as a whole.
Zhu Yaobin, secretary of the Party Committee of the College, briefly summarized the work carried out in the past two years since he presided over the administrative work of the College, thanked the faculty and staff for their strong support, and hoped that the College administration and the Party Committee of the College would work closely together to strengthen the construction of the Party organization of the College, promote the establishment of moral education, and do a good job in all aspects.
The new dean Zhang Yan said that she would strengthen political learning, focus on moral education, promote the work of curriculum thinking, aim at building a multilingual foreign language College with maritime characteristics, and create a pyramidal discipline system.
Members of the leadership team, representatives of professors and department heads of the College had a speech, expressing their support for the decision of the Party Committee of the university and fully cooperating with the new dean to do a good job and promote the development of the College to a new level.
