In the afternoon of December 2, the working meeting of postgraduate education in the College of Foreign Languages was held in the lecture hall of the Foreign Language Building. Yang Bin, Dean of Graduate School of our university, Zhu Yaobin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, and members of the leadership team of the College attended. Vice Dean He Shaobin presided over the meeting, and all graduate instructors and representatives of graduate students in each year attended.
At the meeting, President Yang Bin firstly introduced the background of the National Conference on Graduate Education, conveyed the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, introduced the special work deployment of the University to learn the spirit of the National Conference on Graduate Education, and introduced the situation of the “14th Five-Year Plan” of the University.
Zhu Yaobin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, combined with the spirit of the National Conference on Graduate Education and emphasized the importance of the construction of the tutor team. He also proposed to strengthen the awareness of tutors’ positions and promote the development and construction of foreign language disciplines in the College.
After that, the supervisors discussed and exchanged views on the establishment of personalized cultivation planning for graduate students and strengthening the process management of graduate student cultivation. Professor Song Zhiping, Mu Congjun, and Zhang Zhiguo, made speeches as representatives of the supervisors.
Finally, Liu Zhen and Li Kangxin, representatives of postgraduates, exchanged their thoughts on learning the spirit of the National Conference on Postgraduate Education and shared their gains and plans of postgraduate study life from the perspective of students.
This meeting deepened the study of the spirit of the National Conference on Postgraduate Education by teachers and students of the College, and promoted the College to concentrate on further improving the work of postgraduate education and cultivation.
