In the afternoon of November 24, the College of Foreign Languages held a lecture on the Utilization of Library Resources and Retrieval System in the lecture hall of the College of Foreign Languages. Mr. Zhou Wenping from the University Library was invited to give the lecture and all graduate students of the College of Foreign Languages, Class of 2021, attended the meeting.
First of all, Mr. Zhou Wenping introduced the general information of Shanghai Maritime University Library, the division of labor, hard facilities, and the collection of books. Then, Mr. Zhou explained in depth the resource sharing and patent information service of electronic resources in the library, and focused on the database resources that are closely related to the students: the maritime characteristic information database, the norms of the use of CNKI and SCIE index database, and gave an in-depth explanation of the search skills and characteristics of the literature.
Through the introduction of Mr. Zhou Wenping, the new graduate students have a deeper understanding of the use of the university library resources services, laying a solid foundation for future academic research.
