In the afternoon of October 21, the opening ceremony of the 2020 graduate students of the College of Foreign Languages was held in the lecture hall of the Foreign Language Building. Zhu Yaobin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Guo Haixia, Vice Dean of the College, Qian Minfang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, heads of degree programs, graduate advisors, teaching secretaries, and counselors attended the ceremony, and all 2020 graduate students participated in it. The ceremony was hosted by Vice Dean He Shaobin.
The ceremony started with the solemn sound of the national anthem, and all the teachers and students stood up and sang the national anthem. Vice Dean He Shaobin introduced the participating leaders and teachers, and Secretary Zhu Yaobin expressed a warm welcome to the arrival of the 2020 graduate students on behalf of all the faculty and students and proposed to the new students to be a person with the ideal sentiment, to be a person who can rigorously study We hope that the new students will be political and sentimental, be rigorous in their studies and do their studies with peace of mind, abide by the law and deliver more warmth and positive energy.
Qian Minfang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, expressed his earnest hope for the students around three keywords: modesty, communication, and hard work, hoping that they can continue to maintain a humble attitude, work hard, discipline themselves, and work hard for a long time to grow and progress in the postgraduate stage.
Associate Professor Ye Hui, Zhang Yan, and Song Zhiping, who are in charge of the degree program, made speeches to introduce the characteristics, faculty strength, and cultivation goals of each program to the students, and expected the students to be rooted in their majors, firm in their goals, and develop themselves and achieve themselves in the tide of national development.
