He Shaobin and Li Huadong's team published their research results in the journal Interpreter and Translator Trainer (SSCI/A&HCI)

Recently, Mr. He Shaobin from the College of Foreign Languages, Hao Yunhan and Liu Shijie, PHD students from the Class of 2022, Liu Huidan and Li Huadong from the College of Foreign Languages published their research in a special issue of the SSCI/A&HCI-indexed journal Interpreter and Translator Trainer (ITT) entitled Translation Technology Teaching: Views and Visions in a special issue of the SSCI/A&HCI-indexed journal Interpreter and Translator Trainer entitled Research on translation technology teaching in Chinese publications and in international English-language publications. The research paper titled Research on translation technology teaching in Chinese publications and in international English-language publications (1999-2020): a bibliometric analysis was published in the special issue of Translation Technology Teaching: Views and Visions. Mr. He Shaobin was the first author and Mr. Li Huadong was the corresponding author.

ITT is an internationally recognized journal dedicated to the education and training of professional interpreters and translators, and an SSCI/A&HCI indexed high level international journal in the field of translation education research. 2021, the impact factor of the journal is 1.222 and the 5-year impact factor is 1.790. ITT's 2022 special issue, Translation Technology Teaching: Views and Visions, is open to papers from around the world and uses an international peer-reviewed, anonymous method to identify papers for publication.

The paper uses bibliometric software CiteSpace and VOSviewer to quantitatively study the research papers on translation technology teaching in the Web of Science (WoS) and China Knowledge Network (CNKI) databases between 1999 and 2020. We found that there are differences in the focus and research methods of translation technology teaching between domestic and foreign scholars: domestic scholars focus more on corpus-based translation teaching research and mostly adopt non-empirical research methods, while foreign scholars focus on the theme of machine translation + post-translation editing (MTPE) and mostly adopt empirical research methods. This paper helps to promote academic exchanges and cooperation between domestic and foreign scholars, and promote the research and practice of international translation technology teaching.

The writing and publication of this paper is an attempt of collaborative research between faculty and students in the School of Foreign Languages. The paper writing and submission workshop was led by Mr. Li Huadong, and the students and faculty members actively discussed and solved various problems encountered in the writing and submission process by adhering to the cooperative principle of voluntary membership, one person writing, collective discussion, and unified publication. This also provides a practice for future students and faculty of the School of Foreign Languages to use teamwork to conduct academic research and publish academic results.
