On October 5, 2022, the College of Foreign Languages welcomed freshmen from all over the nation.
In the work of welcoming new students, the Foreign Studies Office, while strictly implementing the school's epidemic prevention policy, organized 50 students who had returned to school under the direction and guidance of the Student Affairs Office and the college's party and government leaders, and put them into the work of welcoming volunteers. The college carefully arranged creative and warm orientation points for the new students, made hand signs with college characteristics, and provided sufficient epidemic prevention materials to ensure the smooth implementation of the orientation work.
During the orientation process, Party Secretary Song Baoru, President Lu Jing, Deputy Secretary and Vice President Li Zhipeng visited the orientation site, condoled with the teachers and students who participated in the orientation work, and expressed their welcome and concern for the new students, hoping that the new students would integrate into the campus environment as soon as possible and adapt to the life of maritime university as soon as possible.
All the orientation volunteers have their own duties and clear division of labor, with a cordial greeting and full of enthusiasm to serve each new student, leading new students to report, on the way to take the initiative to introduce the new students to the campus environment, surrounding attractions, learning life, and help them carry luggage to their respective dormitories, providing careful, warm one-stop service for new students.
With the efforts of the entire orientation team, 182 new undergraduates from the College successfully reported to the campus on that day, and the orientation activity was successfully completed.
