In order to conscientiously study and implement the requirements of the report of the 20th CPC National Congress on consolidating and developing the broadest patriotic united front, as well as to promote communication among teachers of various parties and further promote the development of the College, the College of Foreign Languages held a seminar for the staff of democratic parties on December 14 with the theme of Talking about the 20th CPC National Congress and always being committed to the Party. Li Pingyou, Secretary of the Party Committee, Zhang Yan, President of the College, members of the Party and Government leadership team, and representatives of the faculty and staff of the democratic parties attended the seminar.
At the beginning of the meeting, Secretary Li Pingyou led everyone to watch the speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping at the Central United Front Work Conference. Secretary Li pointed out that the United Front is an important part of the Party's general line and policy, and has played an important role in different historical periods of China's revolution, construction and reform.
During the symposium, the teachers of each democratic party communicated about the work carried out by their parties in the past year, introduced their participation in the study and practical activities of the parties, and put forward their suggestions on the teaching and research, teacher development, student training and cooperation and construction of the college, hoping to carry out interdisciplinary research and hold more exchange activities among the teachers of the parties. The participating teachers also expressed their gratitude for the care and support of the university and the college, and said they would do their best to promote the better development of the college based on the overall situation and their posts.
In his speech, President Zhang Yan pointed out that he appreciated the hard work of the faculty members of the democratic parties in the past year, and that the college has always adhered to the working philosophy of serving teachers well and training students well, and hoped that we would strengthen communication, coordinate and link up, and continuously contribute to the development and construction of the college.
Party Secretary Li Pingyou stressed in his speech that the democratic party staff is an important group of teachers in the college and the work of the party is an important part of the work of the college. The party committee of the college will coordinate resources, promote interdisciplinary exchange and cooperation, make good use of the educational platform on and around the campus, carry out exchange and association and study and education activities among teachers of the party, strengthen the construction of the teaching team, develop the discipline well and build the college well.
