On December 15, Professor Zhou Pin from the College of Foreign Languages was invited to give a lecture on Becoming the master of emotions - exploring how emotions can improve work and life on the live streaming platform of Tsinghua University Press. The lecture was watched by 153,000 viewers online.

In the lecture, Professor Zhou focused on her translation of Emotions, Learning, and the Brain: Exploring the Educational Implications of Affective Neuroscience, which she co-translated with three other translators, and introduced what emotions are, how they relate to the body, language, and the brain, and how they are related to the brain. It introduces what emotions are, how they relate to the body, language, and brain, how to manage our emotions scientifically and effectively, how to make them improve our learning, increase our productivity, increase our happiness, and more.

The book was originally published in 2015 by Professor Mary Helen Immordino-Yang of the Brain and Creativity Institute, Department of Psychology, University of Southern California, USA. The Chinese version of the book was published by Tsinghua University Press in 2020.
